Soma Universal Logistics partnered with DigiBrandX to develop a stronger, more distinctive brand capable of communicating trust, reliability and international ambition.
The challenge went beyond creating a new visual identity. In a logistics industry where companies often communicate through similar messages around speed, networks and delivery, Soma needed a brand strategy that could differentiate the business while creating a more human connection with customers.
DigiBrandX developed an integrated brand system combining brand strategy, positioning, visual identity, brand storytelling, corporate communication and digital experience around one central idea: making logistics feel more purposeful, dependable and human.

Client: Soma Universal Logistics
Industry: International Logistics & Supply Chain
Project: Brand Strategy and Brand Identity Transformation
Agency: DigiBrandX
Scope: Brand Strategy, Brand Positioning, Visual Identity, Brand Storytelling, Tagline, Corporate Brochure, Brand Film and Website UI/UX
Create a unified logistics brand capable of communicating credibility, operational confidence and global reach while differentiating Soma Universal Logistics in a highly competitive B2B marketplace.

International logistics is fundamentally built around trust, coordination, speed, visibility and reliability.
However, many logistics companies communicate these strengths in similar ways. Freight imagery, transportation graphics, maps, containers and generic claims about global networks can make competing brands difficult to distinguish.
Soma Universal Logistics wanted to move beyond conventional logistics communication.
The brand needed to communicate the operational confidence expected from an international logistics company while creating a more distinctive and emotionally engaging brand experience.
This created four key challenges:
The opportunity was therefore not simply to redesign the company.
It was to redefine what the Soma brand should represent.

DigiBrandX began the project by looking beyond individual design deliverables.
We examined how the brand should be perceived, what customers expect from a logistics partner and which ideas could consistently connect Soma's business capabilities with its customer experience.
The strategic direction was developed around three fundamental attributes:
Customers need confidence that their cargo, information and business commitments are being handled responsibly.
International logistics depends on coordination across transportation, documentation, timelines, destinations and multiple operational partners.
Behind every shipment is a business requirement, customer commitment or personal expectation. Soma's communication needed to acknowledge that human dimension.
Together, these principles established the foundation for the new brand.
The strategic challenge was to move Soma beyond the perception of being simply another company transporting cargo from one destination to another.
DigiBrandX developed the brand around the idea that logistics is ultimately about delivering commitments.
This thinking led to a positioning centred on dependable global logistics combined with a more human customer experience.
The positioning gave the brand a framework for communicating across corporate presentations, sales materials, digital platforms and marketing communications without relying solely on functional logistics messages.
The brand needed a simple idea capable of connecting operational performance with emotional value.
That thinking led to:
The idea reframed delivery as more than physical transportation.
A successful shipment may represent inventory reaching a business, products arriving for customers, materials reaching a project or an important commercial commitment being fulfilled.
“Delivering Happiness Worldwide” therefore became a communication platform connecting logistics performance with the positive outcome of successful delivery.
It provided Soma with an idea that could extend across brand storytelling, corporate communication, film, digital experiences and marketing collateral.
The visual identity was designed to communicate movement, connectivity and confidence while remaining appropriate for an international B2B logistics organisation.
Rather than treating the identity as an isolated logo, DigiBrandX developed a broader visual language capable of working consistently across physical and digital brand applications.
The identity draws inspiration from ideas associated with:
Movement → Connection → Direction → Global Reach
These concepts reflect the interconnected nature of modern logistics, where transportation networks, people, technology and destinations work together as part of a larger system.
The resulting identity provides Soma with a recognisable visual foundation that can scale across multiple communication environments.
Colour played an important role in establishing the desired brand perception.
A predominantly navy-led visual system communicates stability, professionalism and confidence, while white space creates clarity and simplicity.
Supporting accent colours add distinction and help establish a more premium visual character.
The overall design system was intentionally structured to balance:
Corporate credibility + modern logistics + premium presentation + international relevance
Photography, typography, graphic elements and layout principles were then aligned with this visual direction to create consistency across brand touchpoints.
Logistics can easily become a communication category dominated by technical terminology and operational statistics.
For Soma, we wanted the brand story to remain grounded in business capability while making the communication more accessible and memorable.
The narrative therefore focused on what logistics enables:
goods moving across markets,
businesses keeping their promises,
customers receiving what they expect,
and organisations staying connected across borders.
This approach helped transform the brand conversation from moving cargo to moving commitments forward.
The corporate brochure translated the new brand strategy into a structured B2B sales and communication tool.
Instead of presenting services as disconnected information, the content architecture was developed to guide readers through Soma's story, capabilities, global outlook and customer proposition.
Information hierarchy, typography, imagery, infographics and brand messaging were designed as one connected system.
The objective was to help potential clients understand both what Soma does and why they should trust the company as a logistics partner.
The brand strategy was also extended into motion through a corporate film.
Rather than creating a conventional logistics presentation focused entirely on vehicles, warehouses and cargo movement, the film was structured around the purpose behind logistics.
The narrative connected operational activities with their eventual human and business outcomes.
This allowed Soma's central brand idea to move from a static message into a richer storytelling experience.
Soma's website represented one of the most important applications of the new identity.
DigiBrandX translated the brand strategy and visual language into a responsive digital experience designed around clarity, credibility and accessibility.
The information architecture organised the company's logistics capabilities into a structure that allows potential customers and business partners to understand the organisation quickly.
The UI/UX direction focused on:
The result was a digital environment that extended the brand system rather than functioning as an isolated website.
One of the most important objectives of the project was consistency.
Brand strategy, identity, brochure, film and digital design were therefore not developed as independent creative assignments.
Each touchpoint was connected to the same strategic foundation:
Brand Purpose → Positioning → Messaging → Visual Identity → Brand Communication → Digital Experience
This created a unified brand ecosystem capable of maintaining recognition and consistency as Soma communicates with customers across markets and channels.
The brand transformation gave Soma Universal Logistics a clearer strategic and visual foundation for communicating with customers, partners and international audiences.
The new system strengthened consistency across corporate communication and provided the organisation with a more distinctive way to present its logistics capabilities.
Most importantly, the project moved Soma's communication away from a purely functional description of logistics services toward a broader brand proposition built around trust, precision, global connectivity and human value.
The resulting identity can scale across corporate communications, sales collateral, digital platforms, marketing campaigns and future brand applications.
The Soma Universal Logistics project demonstrates an important principle of B2B branding:
Even highly functional industries can build meaningful brands.
Logistics customers still evaluate capability, reliability, infrastructure and service performance. But the way those capabilities are positioned and communicated influences how the organisation is understood and remembered.
For Soma, DigiBrandX combined brand strategy, positioning, visual identity, storytelling and digital experience to create a cohesive brand designed for an international logistics environment.
The transformation was not simply about changing how Soma looked.
It was about creating a clearer answer to three fundamental questions:
Who is Soma?
A global logistics and supply chain business.
What does the brand stand for?
Trust, precision, reliability and meaningful delivery.
What should customers remember?
Soma doesn't simply move shipments—it delivers commitments across borders.
DigiBrandX helps logistics, supply chain and B2B organisations transform complex business capabilities into clear and distinctive brand experiences.
Our approach connects brand strategy, positioning, identity, storytelling and digital experience to create brands that communicate consistently across every customer touchpoint.
For organisations entering new markets, repositioning an existing business or building a new corporate identity, the objective remains the same: create a brand that clearly communicates its value and gives customers a reason to remember it.
